Heat treatment can now be specified for complex CNC milled shapes, including curved surfaces, angled and tapered features, and corner or bottom radii milled with ball endmills. These geometries are commonly found in molds, dies, work guides, jigs, fixtures, and other high-load components requiring hardened tool steel.
The enhancement also allows heat treatment to be combined with grinding and surface roughness specifications down to Ra 0.8, supporting high-precision hardened parts with demanding performance requirements.
